Fever Pitch is the title of the 1992 book by British author Nick Hornby. the book is the basis for deuce films of the equivalent title: a British film was released around 1997, and an American remake in 2005. There exists besides an unrelated 1985 film Fever Pitch, starring Ryan O'Neal.

Fever Pitch by Nick Hornby was 1st published within 1992. These are autobiographical, telling the story of the creator's relationship by owning football (soccer) and with Arsenal F.C. in particular. It consists of the heavy total of short essays, from each one concentrate on one match between 1968 and 1992. It hwhen been seen as something of the turning point inside the public perception of football, making an interest in the game acceptable, potentially fashionable, in enlightened & literary circles.

1997 movie
The 1997 film version of Fever Pitch, with a screenplay altered by Hornby himself, fictionalised the story, concentrating in Arsenal's First Division championship-winning season around 1988-89 and its effect on the protagonist's romanticist relationship. Colin Firth played "Paul Ashworth", the character according to Hornby.

2005 movie

The 2005 film remake of Fever Pitch, directed per Farrelly Brothers with Hornby as an executive producer, starred Jimmy Fallon and Drew Barrymore. Therein adaptation of the number one film's fictionalized version of a book, the action is moved from either London to Boston, the focus of the protagonist's obsession is shifted from either football to baseball, and a story centers on the Boston Red Sox season in 2004 which culminated with a club's number one Major League Baseball World Series victory in 86 years.
